Ian and I are planning on doing a jump this spring... anyone else interested in jumping out of a perfectly good airplane for no reason other than the rush and opportunity for some cool helmet cam type video?

I got my fill doing it for Uncle Sam. Of course there is a world of difference between tactical military jumps and civilian pleasure jumps. But you are in for the time of your life.

Do you know how much it costs? I assume the first jump is tandem. Do you know how long the free fall is?

Sounds like a good time to me, but, I think they require hair cuts first.
Not really, the place up in Pittsfield is very popular. And also does video taping/photography of your jump.

I was looking at the place in Sanford I think... it's not bad and the first jump is tandem... I have a brochure somewhere in the mass of paper on my desk. I picked it up at MIK one of the worker's there is apparently a regular jumper.
I figure that you need to try everything at least once and usually twice just to make sure.
John, you will be happy to know that some hair will be leaving my noodle soon, it's being replaced by a stash... I may need a beard for camo in turkey season too. My nasty mottled hair color makes a great camo in the beard and stash.
Why such a fixation with my hair, jealous? Mine's longer than Alex P. Keaton's in your photo...

Don't drop the camera on this one, though, ok?

for those who don't know... we went to mik and my camera setup wasn't very well worked out... it took a licking and kept on ticking. Luckily it went to the outside of the fastest 180 corner at MIK... does have a few scratches though!

remember it's not the fall, it's the sudden stop at the end.
